Cool thermokarst video
July 28, 2011 – 11:10 amFellow Toolik researcher Sarah Godsey made this awesome time lapse video of a land formation created by melting permafrost, also known as a thermokarst. A lot of people have seen pictures of structures that have toppled due to melting permafrost, but less people have seen the effects on the arctic tundra. Thermokarsts are cropping up all over this biome due to climate change.
