I created this slide show for the Integrative Biology 158 research symposium in December 2001. Macrolepidopterans are a traditional classification of moth families that include larger, easily-studied moths; my study focused on them because little is known about their counterparts, microlepidopterans. I collected moths throughout the island of Moorea in French Polynesia and tried to match pollen grains that I removed from their mouthparts to local plant species to discover what they plants they are feeding on and potentially pollinating.
