One evening, we went to one of the stranger events I've experienced. The "Tungsten City Band" (billed not as a local band, but the (only) local band) played at the Lee Vining Mobil station. Not your average venue. What gas station has live music? Also, as my trailermate pointed out, it was odd to drive an hour out of town for a "night on the town" but a good time was had by all.
