SOIL PIT AT BLOCK 1
I dug a soil pit to examine the soil profile, collect water samples from different depths, and examine root architecture. The soil is sandy through the profile reflecting alluvial granitic parent material that has not weathered much because of cold temperatures and low rainfall.
