This year, I had the privelege to attend the Stable Isotope Ratio Facility for Environmental Research (SIRFER) for a two week course in stable isotope techniques in ecology. It was a truly fantastic course. I was, of course, already excited about stable isotopes before the course (who isn't?) but I am now well on my way to becoming an "isopope."
