WESTERN AZALEAS (Rhododendron occidentale)

This was my third summer volunteering as a counselor at Youth in Science. If you like, see last year's photos. Camp is both exhausting and rewarding; the kids are sharp, imaginative, honest, and relentless. It is a splendid learning environment for science, for socialization (many kids have not spent long away from home before), and as a cultural exchange. Counselors, instructors and students have different cultural and ethnic heritages.
