Eric and Dr. Carla D'Antonio direct our research on Rothrock sagebrush, Artemisia rothrockii. Here's a sagebrush shrub at sunset in Bullfrog Meadow with last year's flowering stalks. Although native to the meadows, Rothrock sagebrush has dramatically expanded its range into the meadows during the last hundred years, displacing a diverse assemblage of grasses and forbs. Our research strives to understand the mechanisms and implications of this invasion.
