Fellow gardener Alicia and I purchased about 20 species of plants from Yerba Buena Nursery in Woodside. Yerba Buena has a wonderful selection of all California natives. Since the garden faces directly north of our four story house, it receives no direct sunlight. We planted shade tolerant shrubs, ferns, and other perrenials that would be found in a California woodland.
